Last summer whilst heading to the redneck riviera, my A/C began to blow warm in Mobile Alabama rush hour traffic. Just before it decided to stop blowing cold, it was so cold I thought the evap. may just freeze over and then suddenly the warm air began. I turned it off for about 10 min. and when I turned it back on, it began blowing cold again and then just as suddenly began to make a squealing like a belt slipping so I turned it off...Once at my destination, I tried again and got a sort of clicking and clacking sound...Now days it sounds somewhat like a diesel. So I'm thinking my compressor is gone! I plan on changing out the compressor and the accumulator myself, the question is what else do you guys think I should change out? I've read if a compressor fails then debris and such is entered into the system. I'm wondering if I should replace the condensor or any other parts...? Thanks in advance to any and all suggestions...
