Hi Klaus,
Thanks for your response.
My wife was able to get the XC into the dealer yesterday to have window mechanism R`n R`d. Turns out it was the "scissors mechanism". AS you suggested: it was expensive tho` I don`t know the numbers as my wife simply said"My bank account took a hit!!".
