AC Compressor Override 850

Where is the thermo cutoff on the AC Compressor. I see the wire on the front of the AC Compressor, if I disconnect that does that disable the thermo cut off? The compressor is a couple years old and on my old one, I overrode it (forgot how) and it ran for quite a while.
