I am having problems similar to http://www.brickboard.com/AWD/index.htm?id=1031829. There was no resolution posted unfortunately. Here's what I have.

1. Sluggish takeoff and/or pause when accelerating. This is mostly from a stop; however, I have noticed an occasional drop in power when dirving on the highway.
2. Failure to idle when started in the morning. If I drive around the block, it will then idle fine in the driveway and drive well once warm. If I leave before it is fully warm, I have to pump the gas slightly with the car in neutral to keep it going when at a stop.
3. Intermittent white smoke when driving (just started Friday and not only condensation). I can be driving and I get a sudden 5 second burst of smoke and then it stops for a while. It did seem to do this more from a dead stop.
4. When close to 0 degrees outside, severe pausing/rumbling in acceleration. This was severral weeks ago, and it hasn't been that cold again nor has this behavior occured again.


Known problems:
1. Oil Leak around the high pressure lines and/or dipstick tube
2. Oil flyback onto the top of plugs (probably from oil cap seal)
3. Oil Leak somewhere near or in turbo (according to firestone)
4. Had codes mainly dealing with misfires (cleared and haven't come back for weeks)

I suspect that the turbo is dripping oil into the exhaust and viola! LOTS of smoke. Is this possible? Firestone seemed to think that there is a seal that can be replaced relatively easily in the turbo and they also indicated that this wasn't a big deal to leave for a while as I didn't have the money to fix at the time. I am probably taking it in this week to the mechanic who works on my other cars (if he will take it); however, just wanted opinions because I have not found a trusted "volvo" mechanic yet. My regular mechanic told me to call him back "mid-week" to see if he wants to work on it. Lastly, any ideas where to get the hose elbow that connects to the Throttle Body and the Idle Control Valve? I do appreciate any opinions and help on the problems and will post the resolution once I get one.
