Ticking Noise Low Oil (also any Omaha NE folk) V70-XC70 1999

Had oil change recently at dealer... a few months ago.

Last few days heard ticking noise (likely valve tappets).

Check engine oil: CANNOT even see oil on the dipstick!
After adding 3 qts, it is in the FULL mark.
Since engine capacity is approx 6L, this means the car has been running on 3 qts for a while 9shame on me for trusting the dealer).

I have some questions hope you guys can help:

1. I don't think the dealer filled with only 3 qts (but it is still a possibility). Also the ticking noise is recent.

2. No oil detected on driveway or under chassis like drain bolt, oil filter, exhaust ect.

3. Does the turbo in the model leak at this mileage?

4. Does this engine burn oil at this mileage? I thought this engine typically last 200K miles or more.

5. How long does it ake for the ticking noise to go away, assuming the noise was caused by low engine oil?

*** Last question: anybody from Omaha NE that can recommend an independent Volvo mechanic?
