Climbing + idle = blows blue V70-XC70 1998

Hi, looking for some trouble shooting help

I have 98 V70 T5 with about 140KM on it.

We live in a mountain town and can't go anywhere without climbing a hill.

I've noticed a few times now that after a hard climp on a hot day if I leave the car idling (trying to cool the turbo down) then drive again it blows a good sized cloud of blue smoke out the tail pipe for about half a block!

No smoke a on cold or hot starts, but the car has always consumed some oil.
