Hi this is my first attempt at this.
Have a '97 v70r awd auto for 2yrs now, great car but now developing a few problems. One is an annoying clunk in the steering wheel when turning, actually feels as if something has come loose. Steering wheel itself seems slightly loose but it almost feels that the steering shaft has a loose bearing (if thats possible), then at a particular point in the turning there is a very noticable clunk combined with a slight movement in the steering wheel. I have read previous posts on clunking steering that happened with acceleration and deceleration, i'm sure this is not my case. I have jacked the car and felt for wheel movement thinking maybe a cv but nothing stood out, any help much appreciated.
I'm an aussie and would love to chat with any volvo nuts with knowledge on my model as they are hard to find over here. Cheers...
