My first 850 troubles- bad cat and misfire. 850

As a 140 and 240 owner I am a bit mistified by my 855 (97')- The car is shifting rough, hesitating- after some searching and a mechanic's overview I have discovered an engine misfire and a clogged cat. The mechanic wanted $1100 for the new cat an tune-up (that is what I get for trying a new mechanic).

1. Does anyone know a good aftermarket cat. for the 850? magnaflow does not seem to have one that fits the application?
2. Other than plugs, rotors, etc- what are the misfire suspects? Should I replcae the 02 sensors?- I have heard that Bosch has a universal that fits the 850?

help is much appreciated.

Also- how easy is the cat replacement procedure on the 850?
