misfiring after stage 0, is this stage -1? V70-XC70

just put in new bosch rotor and cap, new volvo plugs and new bougicord wires (98xc) all from fcp, last week.

car ran very smoothly for 1 day and then cel. 0300, 0302, 0305. cyl 2 and 5 misfire. mpg dropped drastically.

read up and swapped out plugs in 2 and 5 for 1 and 4. cleared cel. comes back, 302 and 305.

pulled cap and looked at rotors. white hard build up present on points and rotor contact. must add here that during the installation, i put a dab of 'electric' grease in all boots and on points. stupid, right? maybe getting some arcing?

anyway, cleaned all the points and rotor up really well (cleaned off grease, too) and reinstalled.

threw cel again, 302 and 305.

haven't pulled the cap yet but bet it's fouled.

what have i done - could it be the wires, the grease?

the car feels smooth but the trip computer says mpg is terrible (full tank =250miles to empty).

there was no problem before with misfiring. just wanted to do stage 0.
