I have a '96 850 turbo wagon and while coming home from vacation last week, I noticed a slightly lower and louder sound coming from under the car right about under the drivers door. I looked under the car and it seems that the exhaust has separated just behind the catalytic converter. Has anyone had this particular problem and what might have caused it? It seems that the metal is flanged there, so it looks as though it might snap back together some sort of way. Am I seeing that correctly? If I get it back together, what is going to keep it from coming loose again? Should I tac weld it?

Lastly, I just bought this car and there is no tailpipe! Pipe just ends under the car...looks like it needs about 15 to 20 inches to reach the exit point on the rear bumper cover. Does anybody know where I can pick up this piece? Everything I find on the internet has a round opening and I would rather have the stock looking rectangular opening. Sorry to be so wordy, buy any help with these matters would be greatly appreciated.
