low trans fluid V70-XC70

I've got a 2002 V70, normally aspirated, 5 speed automatic. The kids tell me it started 'jerking' when it shifts. I stopped at the local garage, and they found the trans fluid low. Two quarts were added. The car has 87 Kmi on it. The trans fluid was changed at 55 Kmi. The car is under warranty 'till 100 Kmi (purchased used, 'certified').


Anybody have any ideas where the fluid is going?


Also, is it ok to take on a couple of long quick trips (1500 miles in 5 days follwed by 1500 miles in 4 days?
