About 4k miles ago I had rear and front engine seals replaced at a volvo mechanic. Right after that I replaced (myself) everything related to PCV, which by the way was not clogged. The reason to replace PCV was that I noticed oil was disapperaing at a fast pace after the rear and front seal replacement. Before the replacement, I was losing about a quart every 2000 miles. Now I am loosing a quart for every thank of gas (about 300 miles)The car does not smoke, there are absolutely no leaks in engine. Oil is not going into coolant either. So my guess is that oil is going into intake. There is no smoke out of dipstick.
I suspect two things and want you guys opinion as you are much more knowledgeable than I am:
1- The valve seals may have gone bad ( more likely)
2- When front seal was replaced, they did something wrong with oil pump and its relief valve ( less likely)
The car is a 1994 850 NA, 180K miles. Engine runs smoothly, power is OK and mileage is around 23 miles per gallon mostly city driving short trips.
Thanks for your help.
