240 Airconditioning

This 1993 240s been working great - but this summer the Air Conditioner stopped working.

the service station says it's full of "freon", but the compressor doesn't get power - and when they add power, the compressor still doesn't work.

New compressor was gonna be about $650 plus installation and troubleshooting electric -

any ideas - reconditioned compressor available somewhere? - I'm in Westchester County NY.

any help appreciated - We are now trying to sell her, but without airconditioning in the summer, it's been tough.
