C70 Oil change question

I'm doing my first oil change on my 2001 C70. I can't loosen the drain plug bolt; I'm starting to strip the head. By chance is this bolt a reverse thread? I'm using a 17mm wrench and socket which seem to be the correct size, but it won't budge. It almost seems like the shop that did the first oil change right after I bought the car put the bolt in with an air gun.
