gearbox (?) sound at about 130 km/h S60 2001

Since some time I occasionally notice a very weak (hardly audible) high frequency noise when pushing the gas a bit at about 130 km/h (S60 2.4).

I personally think it is the gearbox (MT). My former car had the same, so has our second car (a giant Seat Arosa).

Is this indeed the gearbox? Is there something to do about it?
Btw: Has the MT gearbox a separate oil reservoir, or is it connected to the general motor oil?
