Hi,

I read the posts and looked up instructions for replacing the tailgate struts for my 1995 850 wagon. I bought the oem parts at fcp groton, removed the car panel on one side. Had some trouble removing the front end (toward the driver) of the strut using leverage with the body of a screw driver, but now absolutely cannot remove the back end of the strut. I spent about 3 hours last weekend trying various positions of the door, brute force, tools to wedge the socket off the ball, etc.

Knowing that this was posted as a beginner type projectl is doubly discouraging.

Any tips anyone? Please help!
