2 Ques: Oil leak on top engine cover seal and compressor engage interval 850

Hi,

I have two questions.

1. How often your AC compressor goes on/off? I hear the compressor clicking every 10 seconds. Is it normal? I am getting some cold air (i.e. not a whole lot). May be I am low on 134a. Should I get a A/C flush kit from local auto store or JC Whitney site's Interdynamix "A/C Flush and Clean" is better?

2. I see oil/dirt deposit near the gasket of the top engine cover (valve cover gasket??). One corner (the timing belt side) also has fresh oil. I am assuming that the gasket is broken. I see about 10 or 12 bolts securing the cover. Is it all I need to remove to access/replace the gasket? I checked eEuroparts. Is it head gasket ($33 part, Part Code: 3531017)?

Thanks.
