Tranny problem? S70

Howdy. I have a 98 s70 gt with about 131k. Recently, i have been having osme tranny problems. From a COLD start, the tranny hangs before shifting from 1-2 ( will hang for 3 or 5 seconds at 3k + rpm). Once the engine/tranny are hot, it shifts fine. Could this be the PnP? I did the wuick clean (taking it from p to l and back real fast several times) this seemed to help, but only if I do it before every start. any idea? could a simple flush clean this up? I dont want to spend the money on a flush if the tranny is failing. Thanks
