alarm/unlock/lock key fob battery died????

1998 V70...wife left the keys in the rain on the deck (Doh!!) and the battery apparently died in lock/unlock key fob, I hope, or, did the witer possibly fry that unit....
So, can I just put in another battery and it will hopefully work?

Can they be re-programmed....what are my options here if any??
