My 2000 XC is coming up on 105K and I'm told this is time to replace the timing and drive belts along with the drive belt tensioner. This sounds reasonable.
I've replaced drive belts before but never a timing belt. Is there a trick to replacing the timing belt or a special tool needed? Also, is there any other work that should be considered when doing this on the front of the engine? For instance I know that often replace water pumps on other cars when doing so.
ps. Now I can finally join the Volvo 100K club.
Thanks,
RGW
