Hi,
Six months ago I bought a pre-certified* 03 V70 AWD 2.5T (5 speed auto tranny) with 60,000KM. A month or so after i bought it i noticed that the transmission sometimes slips when shifting from 1st to 2nd. It revs up ~1000RPM above where it started to shift from before it engages into 2nd gear. My wife, who is quite mechanically illiterate, even noticed it before i mentioned it to her. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? I am bringing it in to the dealer soon for an oil change and i wanted to do a bit of background before mentioned bringing it up with the dealer.
*On a side note, i am bit disappointed with Volvo's pre-cert program, or perhaps the dealer's execution of the program. We have a hand full of problems (including the above tranny issue) that we noticed within a few weeks of buying the car, such as squeak which sounds like its coming from the brakes, a blown driver's door speaker, and a headlight that was cracked where the bulb inserts (they ordered the light assembly and are replacing next visit).
Thanks in advance,
ERRM
