Fuel filler door will not open. S80 2003

Had a problem with my S80 fuel fill door not opening. Searched the forum and someone suggested that locking and unlocking the car doors and then hitting the fuel door button might solve the problem. It did and I'm grateful for the help. Tried to find that thread so I could convey my appreciation but couldn't find it. Hope this helps someone wit the same problem.
