Canadian model V70 - differences ? V70-XC70 1998

In an earlier post, I wondered if my V70 with Centigrade heater controls and metric fuel gauge might be a Euro or Canadian model. I now find documentation in the car which appears to confirm this is a Canadian model. Specifically, a sticker on the glove box lid appears to show it meets Canadian specs instead of DOT.

I wonder if any Volvo techs out there can tell me of anything I may need to be aware of in case this is in fact a Canadian model. Is the engine smogged up a little less than the US model ? Anything else unique to cars for north of the border ? Anything else better or worse for this model ?

(BTW, it's the base V70.)

Thanks !
