Power cut at full boost 850

I have put up with the lack of full power for 6 months and I thought it was the bad fuel pump. The power cut usually happens when I approach 4000 rpm under full power but the problem get worse after I have replaced the fuel pump lately where the power cut out and come on again and cut at around 3200 rpm. One mechanic suggested it may be the fuel pressure reglator, any other suggestion? if not , I would just replace the fuel pressure reglator as well.
