1998 v70 after blower question - please help...

Hey guys,
A quick question - I have a '98 v70 AWD wagon and the blower inside the car keeps coming on numerous times after it has been run. I've called some dealers and some mechanics and they all say that the blower should only run through one cycle and then be done. I asked if there was a way to disconnect or to shut off the after-blower function and they each said, "Bring it in." Which means "Pay me $85 to flip a switch, unplug something, or punch in a code in my ODBII machine."

So, does anyone know how to disable the after-blower function or to fix it so it doesn't come on so often. It's draining my battery.
