I'm replacing my dist cap and rotor -- 1995 850 non-turbo. Haynes states to remove the d. cap, then the "flash shield," then the rotor (and refers to an illustration. As I recall, my 240 had such a shield, but this 850 has no flash shield. Is is supposed to?
Probably unrelated, but the rotor is a bee-atch to remove. Those three "15 Torx" screws seem frozen. I used the right bit but it started to strip them some, so they're soaking in some wd-40 now . . .
