About 4 weeks ago, I had the software upgrade that was supposed to address ETS problems.
Since that time, my ETS light comes on a couple of times a week, usually late in the day. When I put my code reader on it, there are no codes showing. The next morning, the light is out.
Is there any point in taking it to the dealer if the light is not on at the time? I'm afraid that I will take it in, they will charge me $140 to hook up the VADIS machine for 3 minutes, and tell me "no trouble found".
I know there are Volvo codes that produce codes on a generic reader that you can't decipher, but, in the past, whenever the ETS light came on, there was a code associated with it. Is it possible that there are codes that a generic code reader can't even detect, that VADIS can?
