Brake light on rear window not working 850 1997

The brake light on the rear window of my son's 850 is not working....the other brake lights at the rear taillights are fine. I changed bulbs...still nothing, checked the terminals with circuit light....nothing. So that part of the wiring harness is not getting the message. The wiring in that part of the car seems totally hidden. Before I start pulling stuff apart and beating my head against the wall....or go to the dealer,,,,does anybody have an idea?
