Antenna mast

Please see my July 11 post on an ill-fitting antenna mast.
It gets worse.
After modifying the sleeve and attempting to re-assemble the system, it turns out that the replacement mast still will not operate. There is just too much "tightness" after losing about 0.009" inch of clearance in the mast-to-tube area.

The seller has offered to refund my sales price but not the postage.

If you deal with an aftermarket seller make sure the mast measures no more than 0.326 inch diameter.
