door stay crunching 850 1997

Need to know the fitting used to unlock the set nut for door stay on the drivers side .
I tried 5MM Hex but that is too small and 6MM too big.
Also, past sites show an access hole to the right of the hinge ,but I don't see it on my 97 wagon.
Thanks for the help.
