Fix for the falling liner 850 1995

Moved form Texas to Washington DC, and with in a winter cycle the roof liner is drooping way down low and fluttering. Since the car had a sunroof, was thinking about just peeling back the edge trim and reattaching the liner back to the foam. Last time I did this was (1990 SAAB in 1998), the 3M stuff did not work too well, but I had used a new liner, ended up using DAP contact cement to do the job. Anybody tried this. Any suggestions will be great
