Things to watch out for on a '98 XC V70-XC70

Seriously considering a '98 XC with 100k that is in immaculate condition. Drives great.

Biggest complaint is the stopping distance/power. Feels like it could be better. I've been driving Saab for sometime and I am used to quick stops...but realize the XC is much heavier. Anything to help this.... Stainless brake lines, better pads etc.

Car has new abs accumulator, recent timing belt, rear main seal was looked at....anything else?
