Engine 'pauses'? 850 1997

(850 t5) Its almost as if the engine loses power for just a split second then is normal. Typically it does this when in reverse or when there isn't pressure on the throttle. Somtime its just a stall. Also the Turbo spools about 30% of the time other times its almost as if the waste gate doesn't shut the whole way. IS therea way where I can just get a new wastegate or even need one?
