Took a long look under the hood..... 850 1996

Thanks for the advice on the service codes. Over the weekend I took a long close look under the hood of my car. I noticed three things I found disturbing (1) very long silver looking hose that runs behind the engine (near firewall) and runs toward the front of car(drivers side) - noticed deterioration in one area. Is this a hose I can replace? Any suggestions or directions?
(2) There is a fat hose of a plastic-type material that looks like it comes off the back of the radiator near the top (on the driver's side of the car) and it had a bend in the hose. It isn't hooked up to anything. There is an opening to something (under the air filter holder)near the opening of this hose. Are these two supposed to be hooked up?
(3) Had collision work done on hood, grill, and radiator about 2 years ago. My anti-theft system stopped honking the horn after that, but I did not associate it with the repairs or the accident until now. What does the anti-theft system sensor look like (I read another message and I understand that the sensor needs to touch the hood)?

Sorry this is so long. Even if I cannot fix these things myself, I want to know what I am talking about when I take my car in for repair!
