Good Deal for a 2000 V70XC AWD/SE ? V70-XC70 2000

The wife and I are currently down in Florida (live in Virginia) and want to get a Volvo wagon. I found a 2000 V70XC AWD/SE wagon for sale by a local retired private owner. It has 114,000, silver and in excellent condition. Tires are about 50% shot, but timing belt recently replaced and all he has needed to do is change oil. He is the third or fourth owner, and most of the miles (83,000) were put on in NJ and Alabama from what the CarFax report states. He is asking $7,950 but he says he will work with us on the price. I am new to this model (I currently am restoring a 58 PV 444) but wanted to know what you experienced guys think.
