How do I perform OBD 2 Drive Cycle ? V70-XC70 1998

Everything is running fine on my 1998 V70, but I just wanted to see how my new OBDII reader works, an Exuus Innova 3030. For some reason, the yellow warning light keeps coming up and a host of monitors cannot be read. All it does is to try every 15 secs. and I see the blinking yellow light on the reader. I tried it too with engine running, and same results.

I tried it on my '98 S70, and I got a green light. Everything passed!

What could be the reason for it not reading diagnosis from my V70 ? The OBD 2 reader manual says 'see vehicle's service manual for info. on how to perform an OBD 2 Drive Cycle for vehicle under test'. Does anyone know how to do this ?
