Metallic Smell

I've had a strange smell recently coming out of the 98 V70 (110K). I can best describe it as the smell of grinding metal...sans a grinding sound. After the car starts moving, the smell is pretty strong in less than 30 seconds. At idle, no smell. While I haven't pinpointed the location, it seems to be coming from the right front of the car. Any guesses?
