Leaks caused by higher altitude and/or lack of humidity? S70 1998

I purchased my 98 S70 T5 w/ 110K miles a little over a month ago. Bought it from the original owner, all records, maintained beautifully. I also went and found the name of the indy mechanic who had maintained it since 2001, and he gave a glowing review. Suffice it to say the car wasn't neglected.

A week after purchase, I see small drops of antifreeze on the garage floor. Leaking (apparently) from around the t-belt made me think I was going to have to replace a water pump. Turned out to be a leaky thermostat housing hose. Clamp tightened, problem solved. Breathe deeply.

Two weeks later, there's a small power steering fluid leak. Thought I was going to be replacing the rack. Turned out to be a leaky hose. Clamp tightened, problem solved. More deep breaths.

Now nothing else is leaking yet, but I've noticed the brake fluid reservoir is wet on the top. Which got me to thinking...I live in the Southwest, and right up until I bought it, the car was a native of the Northeast, some 2,300 miles away. Now, I've never heard of a change in altitude/humidity being an issue. But could going from a low moist area to the mile-high desert cause a car to blow out both ends?
