Good and way over priced
First the good, the wife's Volvo V70 T5 was giving her a "low performance" message and barely running. By the time I got there it was running better but still had the Check Engine light on. Took it to Volvo of Tampa because we had the extended warranty from the CPO purchase. They called and said the throttle body needed to be replaced (~ cost of $900) and while it is not covered by the extended warranty, since this has happened to a bunch of V70's, they would pay for the repair. Excellent!
Now for the overpriced
The drivers side turn signal needs to be replaced so I called an aftermarket supply place, IPD, last night and they said the dealer price was $40 and they could sell it to me for $38. I said to them that after shipping, it would be cheaper to run by the dealer and pick it up. I stopped by Volvo of Tampa this morning, they had the part and handed me the paperwork to pay the cashier. I got to the cashier and looked at the paperwork and it had a price of $70. I politely placed the part and the paperwork on the counter and walked out the door.
