I've been working to fix my 850 torque converter. Last year someone retyped the troubleshooting section for the S2 solenoid. At the time that is what my problem entailed. It cited to check the resistance of wire/pin #22 on the transaxle...looking for 10 -15 ohms. I believe that my new problem is with the lock-up solenoid. Does anyone have a volvo manual that dictates the wire/pin number on the tansaxle for the lock-up solenoid? It should cite that the resistance is 10 -15 ohms (the solenoids are the same) but I don't the wire number??
Also, looking for someone with a 93 850 and go into test mode 4. Operate the lock-up solenoid. My car clicks once as the light blinks 6 times. While testing the S1 or S2, the solenoid clicks 6 times with the light. I am not sure if this is correct. I would assume that the lock-up solenoid would do the same 6 clicks??
If the car is running and I activate the Lock-up solenoid, once it engages the engine appears to even out (smoother. Once the test is over (after 6 blinks of the led) the engine sounds as if it loads-up. Like in normal condition the torque conv is somewhat locked???
