i have a 2002 s60 with automatic transmission and i recently got a message "transmission service required" and the car feels like it cant get into first gear. mechanic says it needs a new transmission valve body after upgrading the computer software and problem still reappears. the car has 30K kilometers most of it driven in stop and go traffic.

any opinions on this? any idea how much the part should cost?
