850: aftermarket radio deck on a 8-speaker system 850 1996

I am thinking of changing my sc-811 deck (without an amplifier option) for an aftermarket deck to get MP3 playback and an aux input on the face of the deck. Will the new deck make the stock speakers sound better? (with the deck being amplified) Or are there issues with the 8-ohm speakers and there is no gain in sound?
