Trannsmission Problems 850 1993

for the last few months my 93 850 (A/T 158 Kmiles) has been having intermittant transmission problems.
I had the tranny flused to see if the problems would go away, but that did not help.
When shifting around 30-35 MPH there is a shudder and the whole car jerks. The other problem is when coasting around 40 MPH at about 2000 RPM, the car does not rev smoothly. The RPMS jump and drop and it feels almost as if something is slipping. Any thoughts? Car starts from a stop no problem and runs great on the highway.
I have not checked for any codes yet.
