Intermittent Automatic Transmission/Brake Pedal Switch S70 1998

Hi,

I have a 1998 S70 that has an intermittent problem with the Transmission/Brake Pedal switch. That is, sometimes the transmission will shift out of Park when I press the brake (after first turning the car on) and sometimes not. There is an override switch next to the shifter that I use to shift into Drive if this happens but I want to fix the switch. I'd like some advice on where the switch is located and how to replace it. Is it connected to the transmission or the brake pedal assembly?
