wax off molding/bumpers? 850

What's the easiest way/best product to get wax off the molding? I have a dark green '94 and I got a little sloppy with the wax and it looks like crap. Any advice appreciated.

Thx,

Nick

Had the same problem with wax and buffing compound, I have access to a HOT steam/pressure washer. The hot pressureized water took it off in seconds, no chemicals no rubbing or scrubbing etc and made the trim look new again. As always you must be careful and not leave the high pressure stream in any one location, keep it moving!!!!

If it's black molding you can use Kiwi liquid leather shoe dye. I did this with my wife's '04 V70 after I tried for over a year to get the white stain off and the car now looks spectacular.

Any vinyl floor was remover will work. Use a small hand brush instead of a cloth. I have even used Bon Ami cleanser, because it doesn't scratch, but use it sparingly.
Next time you wax your car, put vinyl protector on FIRST, then wax the paint.

I got so irritated by wax on the trim that I painted the trim and bumper covers.

If you want to see a teal 855 base with sand colored trim to match its interior, go to -

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/634651

With matching wheel covers it stands out.

The paint has lasted three years, and I can wax it like the rest of my brick.

Try reading this...

I use a drop of laquer thinner on a soft cotton cloth... works almost instantly... but just a drop, not dripping wet... and don't let it touch the surrounding paint !!!

Follow up with any of the commonly available trim treatment products (like Armor All)
I've been told that the product on the ipd site called "Black Again Trim Restorer" works well, but, in my opinion, most are pretty much the same.

I use a 5 or 6 yr old bottle of NuVinyl, and have no complaints.

Good luck
