Car runs rough for a few minuets, then the emmisions warning comes on. Then car runs normal and light goes off. This happened once a month, now once every 2 weeks. thanks for any help.

    i've had exactly the same problem for about 4 months gradually getting worse to the point were it was affecting my auto trans,had the codes read at volvo which confirmed vacuum leak(which i'd already checked)or mass air flow sensor,changed the maf myself and the car now runs better than it ever has while i've owned it,problem solved.hope this helps you.
