Instructions on BG injector clean V70-XC70 1998

I'm looking to do the injector-only clean using the BG product and apparatus. Note this is not the same as the 44K product.

I did this years ago on my 85 SAAB 900T and it made a world of difference. Not quite sure of the procedure though for the Volvo.

For those who don't know what this is: BG makes a fuel injector cleaner that is poured into a special tank they build. The fuel supply line is disconnected from the fuel injection rail and the fuel pump relay is removed. The BG tank is then presurized to around 40psi (I think) and hooked up to the fuel rail. The car is started and runs directly off the cleaner until it's all gone. Takes about 15 minutes.

The tank is disconnected, fuel supply line reconnected, relay reinstalled and your off.

I'd appreciate any details you might have.

thanks,

Mark

I figured this procedure out, it's quite easy actually. Hard to tell the effectiveness of it though because my spedo/cruise control/odometer began acting up shortly afterward.

Why don't you just use SeaFoam? Look it up on the Volvospeed forum. Apparently amazing stuff...I've never used it however and doubt I ever will. I just run high octane gas (with Techron) and drive at high speeds occassionally.
