A/C low press sw

Hi all,
I got an email from Laurie. Her AC compressor died, she had it replaced with a rebuilt one. Her mechanic installed it, added a pound of r134a, but the compressor wouldn't kick in.
I told her to check the low pressure switch and it did not engage the clutch when shorted.
She is on limited funds and would like to have AC again. Any helpful hints?

Thanks,
Klaus

Is she getting juice to the clutch? Can the clutch be hot wired to see if the system is ok. That is where I would start. Fuses good? Could also jump the low press. sw. and see it that works. Just ideas of how I would go at it---

I had a similar problem and it was the ac relay behind the glove compartment. There are 2 one is for the blower and the other goes to the compresor. The part is about $ 45 from the dealer.
      Thanks
      Dennis
