    Check out this site:

    http://www.leatherique.com/

You might want to give this product a try before going through the hassle and expense of a seat changeout. I have a 96 850T, use this product and the seats look new. They do claim it will restore old and cracked leather....

Beware the side air bags. 98 model are mechanically deployed by crushing the metal sensor on the side. 99 and 2000 models are electrically deployed by the SRS computer, and are not compatible with the SRS system on a 98. If there is a 2 wire cable protected by ORANGE conduit, the airbag iis electric. DO NOT attempt to plug this cable in as any voltage will deloy the bag and ruin your day not to mention your seat, and could cause injury or death. As far as the rest of the system goes, seat heater and motor power, you should be able to make it work with some creative wiring. Best to have the corect wire diagram for both the donor car year and your car

Or you could just swap the skins, make sure the cutouts for the air bags are the same.

          Try Leatherique first. S70

          lours,

Try Leatherique products as Jack43 suggests before you undertake a reskin.

I've used the crack-filler and dye with good results. Follow the instructions on their website.

I posed this in response to someone else here. I recovered my 1998 S70, all seats, in full leather, (not leather faced, vinyl backed) for under $700 with PB Leathers in Ft Lauderdale. www.pbleathers. Barry was the guy I dealt with. They have the pattern for the S70 because I lived without seat covers for 2 months while they duplicated mine. The covers turned out fantastic. If your willing to tackle the re-cover youself like I was, the results are better than I had hoped for, and less than 15% of the cost of original Volvo covers.
