I purchased a code reader from Harbor Freight, but it does not seem to work. Have heard they are not much good, so believe there are some better arount $100 or so. Would appreciate some advice--------

    i was able to purchase a used Alex Peper unit on ebay for around $40. you would have to use it with a laptop but it appears to do everything thats advertised. you can check it out at www.obd-2.com
